Diego Luna in 'Andor'
Disney+Disney+'s next Star Wars universe set series Andor is moving to a new premiere date: Sept. 21, when it will drop three of its 12-episode season. Although that is now almost two months away, the streaming released a new trailer to keep the excitement for the new series up.
Andor takes place prior to the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and explores Cassian Andor's (Diego Luna) journey to discover how he can make a difference during a time of rebellion. The eponymous character has some harsh words to say about the Empire, as you can see in the trailer, below. But he also is doing something about his disgust: He's trying to take them down from the inside.
As Disney+ explains it, "the series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It's an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero."
"I'm tired of losing," he says in the trailer.
Genevieve O'Reilly, Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, and Fiona Shaw also star in the series, which comes from executive producers Kathleen Kennedy, Tony Gilroy, Sanne Wohlenberg, Luna, and Michelle Rejwan. Gilroy also created the show and serves as showrunner. The show hails from Lucasfilm.
Andor follows previous Star Wars set series The Mandalorian (Metascore: 71), The Book of Boba Fett (59) and Obi-Wan Kenobi (73).
