Natural disasters often test the strength of relationships, especially as people are asked to shelter in place with each other. And in A24's upcoming movie Bodies Bodies Bodies, a hurricane does just that for seven friends. See a sneak peek at the film in a new trailer, below.

Bodies Bodies Bodies, which is directed by Halina Reijn and written by Sarah DeLappe from a story from Kristen Roupenian, follows childhood best friends Sophie (Amandla Stenberg) and David (Pete Davidson), as they host a house party at a remote mansion during the storm. During the party, the titular murder game changes everything when they realize a real murder has taken place and now they have to figure out which one of them did it, while they spiral and turn on each other, including accusing each other of gaslighting and being concerned about weapons. But as serious as that all sounds, the film is actually a comedy.

"That would be so f---ing obvious if I was the killer," David says in the trailer. "I just look like I f---. I look like I f---. And that's the vibe I like to put out there."

Sophie is recently sober and out of rehab and has not spoken to most of the others that ride out this storm together in a while. Luckily, she has Bee (Maria Bakalova), her girlfriend, by her side. David, meanwhile, has his own issues, especially with his girlfriend Emma (Chase Sui Wonders) and another newcomer, Greg (Lee Pace). The cast also includes Myha'la Herrold, Rachel Sennott, and Conner O'Malley.

Bodies Bodies Bodies premiered at SXSW in March and thus far has earned an 82 Metascore from those early critical reviews, but it opens in theaters across the country on Aug. 5.
