When toons go missing, there's only one duo who can help the LAPD track them down: former Rescue Rangers Chip and Dale. The only problem? they haven't spoken to each other in a while and are in very different places in their lives. See how — and how they come back together to get on the case — in a new trailer for Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers, below.

"Dale, you look different," Chip (voiced by John Mulaney) says in the trailer when the iconic duo is in front of each other for the first time in years.

"It's no secret I had the CGI surgery," Dale (voiced by Andy Samberg) replies.

A mix of animation styles and live-action, Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers picks up decades after the duo's television show was canceled. Chip has been selling insurance and living a seemingly normal life out of the spotlight, while Dale has been trying to hold onto the spotlight at all costs, getting a table at fan conventions to sign autographs and take selfies solo. However, the case pulls them back together, helps them repair their friendship, and lets them dust off their detective personas to, once again, save the day.

The film also features KiKi Layne, Will Arnett, Eric Bana, Flula Borg, Dennis Haysbert, Keegan-Michael Key, Tress MacNeille, Tim Robinson, Seth Rogen, J.K. Simmons, Chris Parnell. It is directed by Akiva Schaffer, written by Dan Gregor and Doug Mand, and produced by Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman. Alexander Young and Tom Peitzman serve as executive producers, while Brian Tyler composed the score.

Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers is in theaters on May 20, and Walt Disney Records will release its soundtrack that same day.
