And she would know. After her experience living in so-called idyllic suburbia in WandaVision, which was really just a reality of her own making, she had to face harsh truths about her life and loved ones. However, when the multiverse is in play, there are many realities to explore, and that is exactly what Doctor Strange is about to embark on.
From Marvel Studios, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is the long-awaited followup to Doctor Strange. In this new film, which opens in theater on May 6, the eponymous character will have to journey into mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities alongside mystical allies in order to confront a new adversary.
As Wong (Benedict Wong) says in the new preview, "The fate of the multiverse depends on us." But, as the preview also warns, "This path exacts a heavy toll."
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness also stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. The film is directed by Sam Raimi, written by Michael Waldron, produced by Kevin Feige, and executive produced by Louis D'Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll, Scott Derrickson, and Jamie Christopher.
Doctor Strange, which was released in 2016, has a Metascore of 72. The sequel is still pending a Metascore and will receive one when the review embargo for the film lifts.
