'Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore​' Trailer Teases a War of Wizards

Without memory, the fate of the world may be left to chance, the latest Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore trailer warns. But, it also previews that "dangerous times call for dangerous men."

The latest installment in the Fantastic Beasts franchise, The Secrets of Dumbledore is the third in that series of films but the 11th in the overall Wizarding World franchise, which also includes Harry Potter. The new film, releasing on April 15 in the U.S., is set years after The Crimes of Grindelwald, in the 1930s, and follows Aldus Dumbledore (Jude Law) as he enlists Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) in a mission that ends up thrusting them into a war.

"Even if we make mistakes, we can try to make things right," Newt says in the trailer, which you can watch below.

The new trailer previews the fight between Dumbledore's team and Gellert Grindelwald's (Mads Mikkelsen) army. Grindelwald is trying to take control of the wizarding world, which includes magical communities from Germany and China to the U.S. and U.K.

"Our war with the muggles begins today," Grindelwald declares in the trailer. "With or without you, I'll burn down there world."

The film also stars Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Callum Turner, Jessica Williams, Richard Coyle, and Katherine Waterston and Mads Mikkelsen. It is written by Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling and Steve Kloves, and directed by David Yates. Executive producers include Neil Blair, Danny Cohen, Josh Berger, Courtenay Valenti, and Michael Sharp, while Rowling, David Heyman, Kloves, Lionel Wigram, and Tim Lewis produce.
