Perhaps unsurprisingly after the controversy that arose around Season 1 when the Latina character of Flora was replaced by a white character named Terra, we finally get to meet the real Flora in live-action.
Played by Paulina Chávez, the character is actually introduced in the almost two-minute clip by a reunion moment with Terra (Eliot Salt).
The clip mostly follows Terra as she looks for something to help with bites on another character's body, off school grounds and without her father's interest in her involvement. As she is gathering samples, she hears footsteps behind her and brings out her own powers to warn the person to "come out very, very slowly."
But, with a giggle and a flowery flourish, Flora emerges with a, "Miss me?" And the two connect with a big, enthusiastic hug.
From creator Brian Young based on the Nickelodeon animated series Winx Club, Fate: The Winx Saga is set at a magical boarding school at which the students are all various forms of fairies (from water to Earth to mind). As they study their craft and engage in typical teen dramatic moments, including complicated relationships, ancient creatures called the Burned Ones threaten everyone.
The show also stars Abigail Cowen, Hannah van der Westhuysen, Precious Mustapha, Elisha Applebaum, Danny Griffin, Sadie Soverall, Freddie Thorp, Eva Birthistle, Robert James-Collier, Eve Best, and Lesley Sharp.
