While it costs the same as two of its competitors — Hulu + Live TV and DIRECTV STREAM — fuboTV streaming offers more channels than both of them. Where Hulu + Live TV and DIRECTV STREAM shine is with their unlimited DVR storage, and on the more wallet-friendly end of the spectrum, Sling TV is much cheaper than fuboTV. (However, it has about a quarter of the number of channels.)

FuboTV stands out because it has a lot of sports channels.

How much does fuboTV cost?

Before we get into the fuboTV cost, let's take a closer look at what the streamer offers. There are three primary fuboTV plans: Pro, Elite, and Ultimate. They vary by the number of channels and services, which means there are a few different fuboTV subscription costs.

  • Pro: fuboTV's entry level plan comes with more than 120 channels with 1,000 hours of cloud DVR storage. Additionally, subscribers can simultaneously stream on an unlimited number of screens, including 10 at home. Although the Pro plan is normally $93/mo., it's currently discounted to $70/mo.

  • Elite: fuboTV's Elite plan has more than 170 channels, plus an additional 40+ channels in the fubo Extra plan, which is normally an extra $8/mo. You'll also get the News Plus bonus, which is more than 10 channels. It has the same amount of cloud DVR storage and simultaneous streams as the Pro plan. The price for this plan is $80/mo.

  • Ultimate: fuboTV's Ultimate plan has more than 200 channels and includes the extras in the Elite plan. You'll also get Sports Plus with NFL Redzone and Showtime. This plan is $100/mo.

FuboTV channels and add-ons

Popular news outlets in the plan are BBC, Fox News, and MSNBC, while lifestyle favorites such as the Food Network, HGTV, Tastemade, and Travel are included. Top entertainment channels include AMC, FX, Hallmark, and USA. Plus, fuboTV also has plenty of kid-friendly channels, including Disney, Nickelodeon, and Universal Kids.

FuboTV features

Large amount of cloud DVR Storage
While many streaming providers only offer 50 hours of storage, fuboTV comes with 1,000 hours in its Pro, Elite, and Ultimate plans. Competitors including Hulu + Live TV and DirecTV Stream, however, have unlimited DVR storage.

More sports channels than other services
The streamer fuboTV offers more than 40 sports channels in its Pro plan. That's more than a third of the channels in the plan. The Elite plan has even more. The service also has 18 regional sports networks that are available depending on where you live. With the add-ons available, fuboTV has the channels and programming diehard sports fans will love.

Huge variety of available channels
With more than 120 channels in its Pro plan, fuboTV beats the competition, as Hulu + Live TV only offers more than 75, DIRECTV STREAM has more than 65, and Sling TV only has more than 30. This gives subscribers to fuboTV a huge selection of sports, entertainment, lifestyle, kids and news programming.

Is fuboTV worth it?

FuboTV easily stacks up against the competition. For the same amount of money as Hulu + Live TV and DIRECTV STREAM, you're getting dozens more channels to choose from. The only place it falls to the competition is in DVR storage.

However, when you look at the Pro plan — fuboTV's base option — at just $70/mo. and how many channels it offers, especially for sports fans, it's an extremely appealing option. In addition, fuboTV has a seven-day free trial, so you can sample everything before you subscribe.
