Get your first look at Guillermo Del Toro's Cabinet of Curiositiescourtesy of a very early teaser, just released at Netflix's Geeked Week.

The teaser, which features a minute of footage from the upcoming series from Guillermo del Toro, invites the audience to experience new worlds, as told by directors Panos Cosmatos, David Prior, Vincenzo Natali, Jennifer Kent, Keith Thomas, Guillermo Navarro, Catherine Hardwicke, and Ana Lily Amirpour.

It also confirms that Eric André, Sofia Boutella, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Rupert Grint, Kate Micucci, and Charlyne Yi are among the actors in the series, following previously announced cast members Crispin Glover, Essie Davis, and Andrew Lincoln — who are all mentioned in the teaser — as well as F. Murray Abraham, Ben Barnes, Elpidia Carrillo, Hannah Galway, Demetrius Grosse, David Hewlett, Tim Blake Nelson, Luke Roberts, Sebastian Roché, Glynn Turman, and Peter Weller.

The show is a collection of curated genre-defining stories that are meant to challenge traditional ideas about horror. Netflix calls it "from macabre to magical, gothic to grotesque or classically creepy." There are eight installments in total, including two by del Toro. Although we don't yet know the titles for the episodes, one that del Toro wrote the story for is directed by Kent and stars Davis, Lincoln, and Galway. The other is directed by Navarro and stars Nelson, Carrillo, Grosse, and Roché; Regina Corrado wrote the story for this one, based on del Toro's story.

The ones del Toro was not as intimately involved with, story-wise, were done so by people he personally chose, though.

Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities is created and executive produced by del Toro and executive produced by J. Miles Dale and Gary Ungar, with Regina Corrado serving as co-executive producer.

While no premiere date has yet to be announced, Netflix confirmed the show will premiere within this calendar year of 2022.
