If you're jonesing for more fantasy content now that House of the Dragon has aired its first season final on HBO, you're in luck! The network just released a trailer for the third and final season of His Dark Materials, which premieres on Dec. 5 with two back-to-back episodes.

The last batch of episodes is based on Philip Pullman's final novel in this trilogy, The Amber Spyglass. Lyra (Dafne Keen) and Will (Amir Wilson) will have to journey to a dark and dangerous place (aka the Land of the Dead) from which no one has yet to return.

If they don't come back, she says, at least they will "have died doing something important." But if she succeeds, she will achieve something far beyond her father's rebellion. Because at the same time, her father's war against the Authority is getting closer, and everyone is about to learn that saving the world comes with a terrible price.

"I am gathering the greatest from every world — even the heavens above. And I would risk everything to ensure victory," Lord Asriel (James McAvoy) says in the trailer, which you can watch below

The season also stars Ruth Wilson as Mrs. Coulter, Simone Kirby as Mary Malone, Will Keen as Father President McPhail, Jade Anouka as Ruta Skadi, Ruta Gedminstas as Serafina Pekkala, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Commander Ogunwe, Jamie Ward as Father Gomez, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, Simon Harrison and Chipo Chung as the rebel angels Balthamos, Baruch and Xaphania, and Amber Fitzgerald-Woolfe as Ama.

Lin-Manuel Miranda and Andrew Scott guest-star as Lee Scoresby and Jopari, respectively.

Jane Tranter, Dan McCulloch, Joel Collins, and Julie Gardner for Bad Wolf; Pullman, Jack Thorne, Tom Hooper; Deborah Forte, Toby Emmeric, and Carolyn Blackwood for New Line Cinema; and Ben Irving for the BBC all serve as executive producers. The show comes from Bad Wolf in association with New Line Cinema.
