Netflix announced that the third and final season of Locke & Key will begin streaming on Aug. 10 and released the first teaser, a minute-long video, during Geeked Week.

Locke & Key follows the Locke family after they lose their patriarch and move into his mysterious family home, known as Keyhouse, across the country from where they had been living. There, the three children in the family discover several keys that unlock doors in magical ways, but they are not the only ones interested in these transportation devices.

The second season finale of Locke & Key saw the youngest Locke child, Bode (Jackson Robert Scott), give Dodge/Ellie (Laysla De Oliveira/Sherri Saum, respectively), a key, which allowed them to return to their regular body, and he also gave his mother Nina (Darby Stanchfield) the Head key. But, Captain Frederick Gideon (Kevin Durand), who was the first person to find a portal behind the Black Door in the house and become possessed was not only summoned back to Earth, but he also grabbed a key when he got there.

From the just-released teaser, which you can watch below, the Captain shows his power to one of the men in his army (he was a captain in the American Revolutionary War), while the family fights to keep control of their house and their keys one final time.

Locke & Key, which is based on the comic book of the same title from Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez, currently has a Metascore of 61. The show comes from Carlton Cuse and Meredith Averill, and also stars Connor Jessup and Emilia Jones.
