Tatiana Maslany in 'She-Hulk: Attorney at Law'
Marvel StudiosJennifer Walters, aka She-Hulk (Tatiana Maslany), has a lot to get used to when She-Hulk: Attorney at Law premieres on Aug. 17. But thankfully she has her cousin Bruce Banner, aka The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) helping her learn the ropes of her new abilities. See that sneak peek at the forthcoming Marvel Studios series in a new trailer, released at San Diego Comic-Con, below.
Bruce, in full Hulk form, blows an air horn while Jennifer is asleep, to effectively test how angry she is when it wakes her up. Thus far, it's "just a normal amount of rage," she reports, though she does turn green when she hears it.
"Was the air horn really necessary?" she asks.
"For comedy, absolutely," he replies.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law sees Jennifer adjusting to her new abilities while maintaining her personality and control over her emotions. That won't come easily or quickly, as Bruce previews it is a "multi-year journey [she] is about to embark on." That journey includes learning to love Spandex (so when she hulks out her clothes don't completely shred) and juggle her job as a lawyer (including representing Emil Blonsky, aka Abomination) with taking becoming the face of a new division for super humans, of which there are now plenty.
"You know that friend you had in high school who's way cooler than you were, attractive, got all the attention from everyone?" Jennifer says. "Hello."
The nine-episode series also stars Jameela Jamil, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jon Bass, Benedict Wong, and Tim Roth. It comes from head writer and executive producer Jessica Gao and executive producer and director Kat Coiro. Anu Valia also directs. Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Coiro, and Gao executive produce, while Wendy Jacobson and Jennifer Booth serve as co-executive producers.
