Glenn Close in 'Tehran' Season 2

Apple TV+

Legendary actor, Academy Award-nominee, and Emmy Award-winner Glenn Close joined the cast of Apple TV+'s global espionage thriller Tehran for its second season, and now you can get a glimpse at her in action in a new trailer, below.

"We're going into the belly of the beast, can you handle it?" Close's character, Marjan Montazeri, asks in the trailer.

Mossad hacker-agent Tamar (Niv Sultan) took on a false identity to infiltrate Tehran and attempt to destroy Iran's nuclear reactor, but when her mission fails, she has to plan a new operation that ends up putting everyone in jeopardy throughout the second season.

"You're a good agent, Tamar. We failed this mission, but it wasn't for nothing," Marjan tells her. "We're playing a long game here."

But whether Tamar can trust Marjan may remain to be seen.

Tehran also stars Shaun Toub, Shervin Alenabi, Arash Marandi, and Shila Ommi. The series is created by Moshe Zonder, Dana Eden, and Maor Kohn; written by Omri Shenhar and Zonder; and directed by Daniel Syrkin. Eden and Shula Spiegel executive produce for Donna and Shula Productions, Alon Aranya executive produces for Paper Plane Productions, Julien Leroux executive produces for Paper Entertainment, Peter Emerson executive produces for Cineflix Studios, and Eldad Koblenz executive produces for Kan 11.
