'The Crown' Season 5
NetflixThe royal family is a hot commodity for paparazzi, and so too are the actors who portray those Brits on Netflix's The Crown. But while you may have already seen some glimpses at the Season 5 cast filming on location, you haven't seen them in all of their streamer-approved glory. Now you can, with some just-released first-look images from the forthcoming season.
Following another time jump, The Crown is now set in the 1990s in the new season, which poses new issues for the family, as the public are now more vocal about their dissatisfaction and disapproval of some of their policies. But they are also on the verge of facing a terrible loss in the death of Princess Diana (now played by Elizabeth Debicki).
Created by Peter Morgan, the show now also stars Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth II, Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret, Dominic West as Prince Charles, Claudia Harrison as Princess Anne, Olivia Williams as Camilla Parker Bowles, Jonny Lee Miller as Prime Minister John Major, Salim Daw as Mohamed Al Fayed, Khalid Abdalla as Dodi Fayed, Timothee Sambor and Senan West as Prince William, and Teddy Hawley and Will Powell as Prince Harry.
In addition to Morgan, Suzanne Mackie, Andy Harries, Stephen Daldry, Matthew Byam Shaw, Robert Fox, and Jessica Hobbs serve as executive producers.
The Crown Season 5 streams Nov. 9 on Netflix. The show thus far has a Metascore of 84, the fifth season's score still TBD, as episodes have not yet been sent for review. See the new photos below.
