Logan Polish (back left) and Melissa George in 'The Mosquito Coast'
Apple TV+Allie Fox (Justin Theroux) promises his family that everything is going to be different in Season 2 of The Mosquito Coast trailer, but let's be honest, if that comes true, it won't be because of him.
To recap: Allie is the brilliant inventor but problematic family man who had his family living off the grid, due to secretive criminal activity he and his wife Margot (Melissa George) were involved in years earlier. When the law caught up to them, he took off and entered into a dangerous journey running from the government, cartels, and hitmen, all in search of the titular location.
Season 2 rejoins the family, including teenagers Dina (Logan Polish) and Charlie (Gabriel Bateman), in the Guatemalan jungle where they are hoping to meet up with "an old friend and her community of refugees." However, the Foxes are not going to stay out of trouble, and this time around, get entangled with a local drug lord and his family.
"People don't change, Allie; they just reveal themselves over time," Margot says in the trailer.
Allie and Margot also come into conflict over their beliefs on how to secure their family's future, and it looks like she's ready to turn Allie and/or herself in.
Creator Neil Cross, Mark V. Olsen, Will Scheffer, Stefan Schwartz, Evan Katz, Rupert Wyatt, Paul Theroux, Justin Theroux, Bob Bookman, Alan Gasmer, and Peter Jaysen serve as executive producers. The show hails from Fremantle Production.
