The first season of The Outlaws just streamed on Prime Video in the spring of 2022 (earning a Metascore of 75), but the second season is right around the corner, and the platform is offering a first look at the comedic mayhem to come via a new trailer, which you can watch below.

From co-creators Stephen Merchant, who also directs and stars, and Elgin James, The Outlaws centers on a group of strangers who meet when they are assigned to the same community service work detail renovating a rundown community center. In the first season, the reasons they were sentenced to such work begin to look really small compared to the crime they get caught up in, taking hundreds of thousands of pounds from a drug dealer.

In the second season, as you can glimpse in the trailer, they are trying to bide their time completing their sentences, while also negotiating the criminal world that just won't let them go. As in most second seasons, the stakes get raised exponentially, this time because the drug lord is coming after them. They banded together before, but this will take a lot more. Luckily career criminal Frank (Christopher Walken) has a plan.

In addition to Merchant and Walken, the series stars Rhianne Barreto, Gamba Cole, Eleanor Tomlinson, Darren Boyd, Clare Perkins, and Jessica Gunning.

In addition to Merchant and James, Luke Alkin, Kenton Allen, and Matthew Justice also serve as executive producers. The Outlaws is a Big Talk and Four Eyes production, co-produced by BBC One and Amazon Studios.

The six-episode second season streams Aug. 5 on Prime Video.
