"Did you ever wonder where every great fairy tale begins — where the good become heroes and the evil become villains?" a new teaser for Netflix's The School for Good and Evil (which you can watch below) asks.

Well, obviously, look no further than that titular setting.

The enchanted school is exactly what it sounds like it is: a training ground for young heroes and villains to learn how to protect the balance of good and evil in the universe. It is there that best friends Sophie (Sophia Anne Caruso) and Agatha (Sofia Wylie) find themselves on opposites sides of a modern fairy tale after they are literally plucked out of the woods and flown to the school in the talon grips of a giant creature.

The teaser says "Welcome, we've been expecting you" to the audience, but perhaps to the girls as well.

The movie is based on the series of books by author Soman Chainani and is directed by Paul Feig from a screenplay he co-wrote with David Magee and Vanessa Taylor

It also stars Charlize Theron and  Kerry Washington (who are both pictured above), as well as Laurence Fishburne, Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Flatters, Kit Young, Patti LuPone, Rachel Bloom, Peter Serafinowicz, Rob Delaney, and Mark Heap. It is produced by Joe Roth, Jeffrey Kirschenbaum, Jane Startz, Feig, and Laura Fischer, and it is executive produced by Stephen Jones, Zack Roth, Chris Castaldi, Patricia Riggen, and Chainani.

The School for Good and Evil will debut in the fall of 2022 on Netflix.
