The latest rom-com to feature an average Joe getting involved with a rich and powerful woman is The Valet, which premieres May 20 on Hulu, and you can see how the movie puts its own unique spin on the sub-genre in a new trailer, below.

The Valet stars Eugenio Derbez as the titular character, named Antonio, who has a chance encounter with a movie star (Olivia, played by Samara Weaving). It's an inopportune time for her, as paparazzi snap photos of her fighting with her boyfriend (played by Max Greenfield) and getting interrupted by Antonio, which sparks rumors. With her headlining a big blockbuster, her team is out to do damage control, and they track Antonio down to ask him to pretend to date her.

"Did my sister put you up to this?" he asks in the trailer.

But no, it's very much a real deal, which thrusts him into the spotlight. Like a deer caught in the headlights, he has to explain the relationship to his friends, family, and co-workers, as well as contend with red carpet interviews and public attention. But although it starts out that Olivia is the one who really needs to get something out of this relationship, it will end up with them both growing.

Directed by Richard Wong from a script from Rob Greenberg and Bob Fisher, The Valet, which is an English-language remake of the French film, also stars Betsy Brandt, Carmen Salinas Lozano, Amaury Nolasco, Marisol Nichols, Diany Rodriguez, Tiana Okoye, John Pirrucello, Ravi Patel, Noemí González, and Lunay. Derbez also serves as producer alongside Ben Odell.
