Taylor Sheridan is expanding his television empire beyond the Yellowstone universe with Tulsa King, starring Sylvester Stallone, and now you can get a glimpse at what that looks like through a teaser trailer (below).
Tulsa King will premiere first on the Paramount Network in a linear sampling of the debut episode on Nov. 13 (following Yellowstone's Season 5 premiere). It will then launch its first two episodes on Paramount+ on Nov. 14. The second episode will also get a special linear airing after Yellowstone on Nov. 20, but the primary home for the series is the streaming service.
The dramatic series follows Stallone as a New York mafia capo named Dwight "The General" Manfredi who gets released from prison after 25 years.
"I married this life and now, after keeping my mouth shut, I'm going to see if it married me back," he says in the teaser.
Spoiler alert: It did not. He ends up exiled in the titular Oklahoma city, to which he at first replies, "Is this a joke?" But he quickly realizes his mob family is not looking out for him, so he begins to build his own crew — full of unlikely characters, of course — to help him make his own criminal empire.
Andrea Savage, Martin Starr, Max Casella, Domenick Lombardozzi, Vincent Piazza, Jay Will, A.C. Peterson, and Garrett Hedlund also star in the series, which is produced by Sheridan, Terence Winter, Stallone, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Allen Coulter and Braden Aftergood.
