2000 Ran as the Republican Nominee for the Kansas State House of Representatives 55th district while finishing college at Washburn University.
2003-2011 Served in the U.S. Army as a Combat Engineer officer.

This summit was an expedition led by Erik Weinehmayer (only person to summit Mount Everest blind) This expedition was filmed by Serac films to produce the documentary film "Soldiers to the Summit".
