Alex Parks

Biography: Alexandra Rebecca Parks or Alex was born in Mount Hawke, England on July 29, 1984. She started to write her own songs at 15. While she studied theatrical and performing arts in college, she also performed as lead singer of a local band called One Trick Pony.

Parks is best-known as a winner of BBC's Fame Academy. After her win, she got the opportunity to showcase her talent for composing songs like "Maybe That's What It Takes" to a public audience. She released her second single "Cry" in 2004 and went on hiatus as she worked on her second album Honesty. Alex has done many sold out gigs around UK including London, Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, and Cornwall.

She parted ways with record label Polydor in February 2006 and as of 2007, has taken a break to consider her options.
