Barbara Parkins

Biography: Canadian born singer-actress Barbara Parkins began her acting career in 1961's British thriller 20,000 Eyes. She appeared in the television series Leave It to Beaver as Beaver's babysitter. Barbara was hired to play Betty Anderson in the 1964-69 series Peyton Place for which she received an EMMY nomination. It was that series that brought her notice and she was hired for the 1967 successful film Valley of the Dolls. Barbara continued to appear in episodic television and a few more films throughout the 70's and 80's.
