Nicknamed "The Hostess with the Mostest," she brought quick wit, a bubbling personality, and energy to spare. "Dee is an entertainer," says executive producer Richard R. Lee. "She can sing, dance, and act. When you see Dee in action, you can feel the energy coming from her. She and Mel made a great pair. They both knew how to play off each other. When she left the show in 1993 to finish her college education, her departure created a void that we at Sidewalks haven't been able to fill when it came to successful duo hosting segments." Dee did return to make some appearances throughout the years, most notably on several of the "Sidewalks Holiday Toy Specials." Away from the show, she is still singing on stage. She and her husband have formed their own popular musical duo, "Dee and Jay." They have been featured with several San Francisco Bay Area bands including Simply the Best, James Gentleman Jims, and Power Play. Dee is making more appearances on "Sidewalks" in 2003. Additionally, Dee and Jay is going on the road as part of the ensemble team in "Barron Edward's Motortown and Mo' Music Revue." In the touring show that's making appearances in the Northern California area, Reno and Las Vegas, Dee and Jay are playing and performing as Tina and Ike Turner. Expand
