Joe Pearson

Biography: Joe Pearson works primarily in the animation industry as a creator, writer, art director, producer and businessman. He began his animation career in the early 80's as a designer and layout supervisor for DIC. This was followed by multiple assignments and staff positions for various studios, including Hanna Barbera, Amblin Entertainment, Warner Brothers, Nickelodeon and Disney.
In the early '90s, Joe produced, art directed and directed the Cable Ace Award nominated, animated special "Thanksgiving Dreams, Thanksgiving Nightmares" for Nickelodeon, eight episodes of "Little Dracula" for Mike Young Productions and Fox, and numerous pilots and specials including twenty-one "Commander Cash" (which he co-created) animated commercials for the live action "Robocop" TV series for Skyvison.

He was responsible for the design of Crash who quickly became the character mascot for Sony Interactive. A best selling game, the wildly successful franchise has spun-off five sequels to date.
In 1995, Joe founded independent animation studio—Epoch Ink Corp. Beginning with the edgy, animated short, "Collet .45", Joe and Epoch quickly built a reputation as one of the industry's top Independents.
In 1995 Epoch produced 26 episodes of the animated "Captain Simian and the Space Monkeys" series for Hallmark Entertainment. Under Joe's management, Epoch also produced a variety of specials and TV shows for BKN, Toy 'R Us, DIC, Film Roman, and MGM. Epoch built a solid reputation as a solid design and develop house doing work for numerous clients including Matt Groening, Dreamworks, MGM, Capcom, Universal and Landmark Entertainment.
In 1997, Epoch produced the animated music video, "Evolution", for the acclaimed rock group Pearl Jam and Sony Music. Produced and co-written by Joe, "Evolution" was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Music Video of the Year.
In 1998, Epoch collaborated for two years with a national syndicator of children's programming, the Bohbot Kids Network, where Joe Pearson served as the Network's Creative Director, and Executive Producer for the forty episode, animated, science fiction epic—"Roswell Conspiracies".
From 2001-2005, Joe directed a series of CG animated, cinematic sequences for a number of games companies, including the "Crash Bandicoot" franchise for Universal and "Spiderman" for Sony.
Along with Kevin Eastman, Joe is currently an Associate Producer on producing a $5 million "Highlander" animated feature film with Madhouse Studio in Japan and Imagi Ent. in L.A./HK
