Two-time winner of the prestigious British Glamour Designer of the Year award Julien Macdonald has been credited with injecting a high dosage of glamour back into the fashion industry.
An RCA graduate in the class of June 1996, Julien was quickly appointed by Karl Lagerfeld to the position of head designer of all knits at the house of Chanel and given his own label from 1996-98.
In 2001, one of the world’s oldest and most highly-esteemed luxury fashion houses, Givenchy, invited Julien to be become their Creative Director. Julien designs six collections a year, from haute couture to prêt-a-porter, and his collections are worn by the richest and most beautiful women across the globe, including movie stars like Nicole Kidman, Kate Winslet, Catherine Zeta Jones, and Gwyneth Paltrow.
In November 2006, Julien received his highest accolade to date: An Order of the British Empire for his services to the fashion industry.
