Les Lye

Biography: In 1954 the very talented Les Lye began his career on the radio in Toronto doing voices for children's radio. After 5 years of this, he left Toronto to do a local kids show in Ottawa that paid 3 times what he was getting in Toronto called Uncle Willy and Floyd. He worked here intill 1978 when he met Roger Price. Roger Price liked what he saw in Lye and had him do a screen test for Price's new show, 'You Can't do that on Television.' Lye passed with flying colors and was soon doing all the adult male parts on the new children's variety show. These memerable parts include Barth, Ross, Senator Prevort, and El Capitano.

He was with 'You Can't Do That On Television' from the very beginning and was the only original cast member when the show ceased production in 1990. While with 'YCDTOTV', Lye also starred in 'Whatever Turns You On',a spin off of 'YCDTOTV','Turkey Television', and the pilot episode of 'UFO Kidnapped'.
