Melissa Salmons

Biography: Melissa is an American soap opera writer. She started working on daytime in 1987 as a script writer for "Guiding Light" and left in 1991. After a short absence, Melissa wrote scripts for "As the World turns" from 1997 to 1998, after which she joined the crew of "Another World" until the series demise in the summer of 1999. She then returned to write scripts for "Guiding Light" from 2000 to July 2004, when she rejoined the crew of "As the World Turns" and stayed there until August 2006. In October 2008, Melissa was hired as a writer for "The Young and the Restless." She left there in early 2009 to join the staff of "One Life to Life" where she currently writes. Melissa won two Daytime Emmy Awards and two Writers Guild Awards.
