Scott Oake

Biography: Scott works for the CBC as a reporter for The Headliner segment of the pregame show on CBC's Hockey Night In Canada. He also serves as an ice level reporter for the network's Stanley Cup Finals coverage and a roving reporter during regular season Hockey Night in Canada telecasts.

Scott began his career as a volunteer at Memorial University's (St. John's, Newfoundland) radio station during three years of pre-med studies. He worked for two summers at CBC-St. John's in radio and television and was hired full-time in 1974. Since then, Scott has covered both the Olympic Winter and Summer Games and the Commonwealth Games— as a commentator for many sports.

Scott, a Winnipeg native, lives in the Manitoba capital with his wife Anne and their two sons, Bruce and Darcy.
