Stanley Péan

Biography: Haitian-born writer raised in Quebec, where his parents relocated in the mid-sixties for political reasons, STANLEY P�AN (pronounced �pay-an�) has published twenty books since 1988, mostly novels and short story collections of weird fantasy fiction for both adults and young readers. His time-travel fantasy LE TEMPS S'ENFUIT (�Time flies�) was awarded the Mr Christie Award for best French Canadian book for young adults in 2000. He is also the editor in chief of LE LIBRAIRE (a literary quarterly journal distributed freely in most of Quebec's independent bookstores) and has been the chairman of l'UNEQ (the Quebec's writers union) from 2004 to 2010.
