Wayne Wilcox

Biography: Wayne Wilcox is an actor/singer who started his career in 2003. He was discovered by Gilmore Girls co-creators Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino while working as a waiter at Mercer Kitchen in SoHo. Wayne graduated from Boston University before beginning his career. After being discover the two creators called him for a role they had created for him, the role of Marty, Rory’s shy friend from Yale or as many people know him the "naked guy". Also in 2003 Wayne starred in the Philidelphia's musical production of The Last Five Years, receiving for it a Barrymore Award Nomination.
After being on Gilmore Girls as a recurring star in 2003 to 2005, Wayne appeared in the film version of RENT as Gordon, a member of Angel and Tom's AIDS support group. Also in 2005 Wilcox appeared in the Goodman Theater production of Elizabeth Spencer's novella The Light in the Piazza as Fabrizio and in the off-Broadway production of The Great American Trailer Park Musical as Leo/Duke.

In 2006 Wayne had a guest appearance in the TV series Law & Order: Fame as an actor named Justin "J-Train" Smolka. Wilcox is currently performing in the Roundabout Theatre Companies off-Broadway adaptation of Suddenly Last Summer, a Tennessee Williams play that is to open November 15, 2006, as George Holly; Carla Gugino and Blythe Danner are also acting in the project. He is also back on Gilmore Girls in his role of Marty, who pretends to not know Rory at all. He is currently slated to appear in the movie Interview with Steve Buscemi and Sienna Miller, which is due for release in 2007.

Wayne is a great actor; hope to see him in more than a recurring role on TV or films.
