While far from a dumpster fire, Deadlight: Director’s Cut is a mechanically sound platformer that is ultimately rather forgettable.- ActionTrip

Despite the fact that this dish spent a bit too much time in the oven to begin with, it still managed to hit the market as a half backed product.- ActionTrip

Though the game is fine as a mediocre playable experience, many of the things that made the original so special have been neutered beyond repair.- ActionTrip

To say that I was surprised by Odin Sphere Leifthrasir is the understatement of the century. Despite having an original code base that dates back two console generations, it still manages to feel modern and just as relevant today as it did nine years ago.- ActionTrip

So, once again, what Techland offers is Dead Island, Dead Island Riptide, and Retro Revenge in one package for 40 bucks. That still a pretty good offer. But just so you know, for 20 dollars more you can get Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition, which is just a better game.- ActionTrip

As a nice little freebee to include with the Dead Island Definitive Edition, this is a perfectly fine add-in. Please just whatever you do, don’t buy this at retail. They are giving it away for a good reason.- ActionTrip

The game is incredibly polished with a unique set of heroes that are evenly counter balanced. The maps are vibrant and well designed for lots of interesting and challenging rounds. Blizzard has created a very solid foundation with Overwatch and I cannot wait to see what they do to enhance, expand and build on it in the future.- ActionTrip

You are most likely not going to see Lumo appearing on any “Game of the Year” lists this fall, but it is absolutely a valiant first outing for developer Gareth Noyce.- ActionTrip

Prepare for some frustrations with such a complex campaign, but also prepare to lose hours of your life as you wonder, “But what if I handled that like this…” as you reload your last save for the umpteenth time.- ActionTrip

We understand what Running With Scissors wanted to achieve with this game, but it's fairly obvious they did not quite push themselves to incoporate any features that would make Postal Redux stand out in a highly competitive scene PC indie games.- ActionTrip

The multiplayer aside, the true appeal to the game remains in the single-player campaign, which is how it was and should be with a DOOM title.- ActionTrip

Is Homefront: The Revolution the worst thing I have ever played? No, in fact it was far from it. However, the fact still remains that the end product is a mediocre interpretation of what could have been, and by all accounts should have been, something far more enjoyable.- ActionTrip

When it comes to franchises that are worth revisiting in a new console generation, Valkyria Chronicles Remastered stands as a sterling example of how to do things right.- ActionTrip

The fourth installment is a worthy addition to the series. And yet I'm sorry to say that the gameplay isn't groundbreaking, and it almost seems like Naughty Dog was too cautions and not prepared to take any risks. It frequently feels like the series is relying too much on its own reputation.- ActionTrip

Once Upon a Climb was short and sweet, with a heavy emphasis upon sweet. Short games aren’t always a bad thing, but Episode 3 leaves you feeling as though something is lacking.- ActionTrip

When the game is firing on all cylinders, it is one of the most refreshing new IPs this generation. The problem is that the charm begins to wear off with age and the mediocre loot system doesn’t do enough to incentivize excessive replay.- ActionTrip

There is much to like about everything in “Ratchet & Clank,” because, for the most part, we’ve seen it all before. That’s not a knock on the game but high praise. Even though it is all familiar, I’m still hooked to see what new weapon lies around the corner or figuring out how to get that gold bolt that’s just out of reach.- ActionTrip

As an independently produced rhythm game, LOUD on Planet X, succeeds at everything it sets out to do. It is an interesting perspective to approach the genre that is complimented by a very strong soundtrack.- ActionTrip

Samorost 3 is a work of art, I like to think. Right from the first challenge I fell in love with the game and I enjoyed how the world is presented. Take my word for it, some of the wacky creature designs are sure to bring a smile on your face.- ActionTrip

Dark Souls 3 is a never-ending maze, filled with brilliant secrets, dark perils and wonderful treasures. Bear in mind that losing yourself in such a world has its price and that price is endurance. It can get frustrating to the core, but facing up to the challenge feels grand.- ActionTrip
