What it does do so well is take a perfectly honed formula and make it even more flexible to gamers' grips, without disturbing the game's core experience. It's a balancing act, and I don't think any gaming developer in their right mind would attempt to make an entirely new package here.- Firing Squad

This is a more refined, smoother game than its predecessors, and is almost certainly the most thoroughly interactive form of entertainment ever created, especially with the fantastic multiplayer options. But it's also more self-consciously constructed than the previous two GTA games, and in my eyes, a little less engaging.- Firing Squad

Yes folks, we have played BioShock and we loved it. The minor flaws in the game's design didn't keep us from having an all night session to get to the end and we think that will be your conclusion as well.- Firing Squad

The Darkness has a great visual look to it and the supernatural powers you get to use are fun for a bit but ultimately it gets to be a grind to get to the game's final moments thanks to the long load times and the repetitive gameplay aspects.- Firing Squad

We know Midway has actually canceled games that didn't come up to their standards. This one should have qualified for such treatment.- Firing Squad

It's a surprise that a Japanese import title with a relatively low price is as entertaining as this game turned out to be.- Firing Squad

Crackdown has taken the essence of the open world sandbox game and brought it down to its base elements. Combine that with comic book super hero style abilities and a unique visual take, and you have a game that, while it lasts, you might find yourself playing until the wee hours of the morning.- Firing Squad

The interface is atrocious, it is so bad that I honestly think whoever pushed it through during development owes me a personal apology delivered at my door.- Firing Squad

I preferred it to older versions of EA’s series, but the new "NHL 07" is clearly better on the ice than NHL 2K7. The AI and the way players interact with each other and the puck are clearly behind EA’s game now.- Firing Squad

While the glamour of the game is still there, DOA4 now has a robust foundation for the underlying gameplay. The problem is that the game involves a substantial commitment that's different from other games.- Firing Squad

What makes King Kong so good is the polish that the game brings. It takes a classic storyline and a classic gaming genre and delivers it to the gamer in a new and refreshing manner.- Firing Squad

Its lack of depth becomes immediately apparent after finishing the game. There's just no desire to go back and try things a different way, or to do some optional quests. This is mostly because the "different way" is either very petty or senselessly evil, and the optional quests are very rare.- Firing Squad

It does essentially everything that "GT3" does, but more. More cars, more tracks, better physics, better graphics, and better sound. Likewise, the combination of force feedback steering and Nurburgring makes for a potent combination. On the other hand, the "wow factor" that came with the original "GT3" isn’t here with GT4.- Firing Squad

Awfully flat and mediocre. The plot is labyrinthine, missions run on rails through an endless stream of lookalike corridors, action is strictly of the repetitive shoot-everything-that-moves school of design, and the art department at Bungie clearly should have tried coloring with more than one or two of the crayons in the box.- Firing Squad

Play mechanics, the movie-epic plot, the sheer scope of the landscape and the missions—all combine to create the most near-perfect experience that I have ever had with a game.- Firing Squad

In many ways, Metal Arms feels built on a generic foundation, but the developers have done much to dress it up with great gameplay and genuine laugh-out-loud moments, making it one of the better choices in the action game category.- Firing Squad

The designers have responded to fan input, by making the game more difficult, making your team members and the competition smarter, a richer graphical environment, and overall a better gaming experience.- Firing Squad

If you’re looking for a well executed third-person game that doesn’t involve shoot-dodges or bullet-time, then Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds is worth checking out. For all Buffy worshippers, Chaos Bleeds should be on your must-play list.- Firing Squad

This is a game for people who take great joy in leveling their characters to the point where the peons the game throws at you are hardly capable of touching you, let alone killing you. The impressive thing is that the game manages to be engaging to that type of player without becoming a game where you have to keep track of every tiny stat on all of your characters.- Firing Squad
