Aftermath wants to be fun (and funny), but it doesn’t yet trust the audience to find the humor in the extreme situations without putting a button on every moment. These conflicting parts could all come together as the show finds its feet, but for a first impression, this pilot nose-dives.

The purpose of the first episode is to provide mystery. You don't want to know everything about the origins of the things happening all right away, that would ruin the whole premise of this series. It is very interesting and fun to watch. There is definitely a family bond as they protect each other, go after each other, etc. The only thing I do not like is the mom's character. She is a jerk. But, the others are great and the ideas behind each of the happenings, and they are varied, are creative. You must watch the whole season, you must not just watch the first episode and decide if you are going to like it or not. Yes, there are some unrealistic things in the show, that is entertainment. It is not a reality show. Looking forward to a Season 2, but I understand there probably isn't going to be one. I am a fan of the show, though.

Yes i gave it a 10 i wish i could give it a 10,000 because i deserves it. This show puts you in the lives of a family of hard knock survivors. They don't wine and cry about every little thing that they need to do not want to do but need. If someone needs kill they get it done and dont spend the next 2 episodes crying about it. I really dont know how you can not love this show. Read a review where the person said they were confuse and didn't understand the show. Well guess what it a it's a mystery to everybody even the characters in the show. You will find out what's going when the characters do. This show kicks butt and skips the drama.

Loving this show! TWD but without the angst. Good exciting entertainment that happily misses the one note tone of so many other SF shows, especially low on the Soap Opera sloppy sentimentality that masquerades as character development and involvement. This lot are all business.
Not overkeen on the skinwalker features - to easy and trite - but the variety of the obstacles in the families way provides plenty to engage with.
Hoping we get another season of this.

What the hell is this show? the only reason i've given it a 3 is that i have to keep watching it...like a train wreck. It is the silliest story . The actions of the characters make absolutely NO sense. It is so inane it's like a nonsensical dream. Is it supposed to be funny? I like the premise so that's what attracted me. I like James Tupper - he's easy on the eyes. Anne Heche's character is laughable. the only worse character is her sister. But i have to keep **** see if it ever makes sense, or if it gets better, or, or....i'm a glutton for punishment!!!

I'm torn between dreadful and awful. Anne Heche's character is basically, "whatever my daughter just got grabbed into the sky but whatever". and with people going insane around them ignores her son's warning about a casual acquaintance they invite into their RV. Is the RV a reference to Breaking Bad or to The Walking Dead? Do we care?

Most of the acting is bad. I don't mean regular bad, I mean BAD BAD.
The script isn't great either. Even if this is a show that's making fun of itself and apocalypse cliches, it is so horribly written and the acting is so forced that it is impossible to see the actual humor.
I've given this show 6 episodes to fall into some sort of coherence but it hasn't improved at all.
