American Horror story has been repeating itself over and over again ad nauseam and at this point I don't believe they have anything new to say, just a LGBT agenda to push. And by golly they are going to push and shovel it. This is not American Horror Story this is gay-americans horror story because that's all that's represented, well that, witches, delusional crazy Christians and circus freaks, I don't want to forget them. I'm pretty much checked out and not interested any longer. There has got to be other ways to tell a horror story than pandering it to the gay community year after year and show after show, as though nobody else exists. I get that that may be the crowd here but much like Evan Peters, I'm missing in action for the duration of this season. Maybe he sick of the bull **** too. I don't know, but Im looking for a good horror series, not another lecture on equality. Because right now I'm just tuning you out and turning you off. 0.5/10 it's a show and you can watch it, however I'm not interested in it's setup or premise Expand

It's bad. It's boring and terribly paced but also it's just weird to have a whole story dedicated to brutally murdering gay men, especially considering the current cultural landscape.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Horrible and I am a huge fan of pretty much every other season! Characters unlikeable, city dirty, shots dingy, pacing uneven, no good villian, multiple story lines that dont get resolved and all of our favorite actors missing. Portrays gay relationships as violent, promiscuous and short term. One female character with a fascinating subplot that gets side lined by endless vistas of violent sex only some of which is consensual and oiled up abs. I really feel that Ryan Murphy pitched his soft-core porn wet dream as a season, hired a bunch of men aged 30-55 with great abs, sprinkled some gore and violence over the violent sex and no one even noticed. So sad, there is such potential to the series and literally thousands of other great horror topics out there! I mean the main bad guy this season was AIDS! Seriously? Completely tone deaf. Makes a mockery of the thousands of gay men that died. Expand

Ryan Murphy seems to be at his most prolific age, but 'American Horror Story' should've stopped at least 5 seasons ago. 'NYC' has all his classic tropes, but it's now tiring and derivative. Although this looks better than the last three seasons, the impact it had at the beginning is long gone. Let's see how this turns out.

Easily one of the better seasons; unfortunately, the point has been missed by many.

This season starts a bit slow , but if you watch it , you'll be rewarded when episode 5 and 6 comes in , i really think we need to wait for the season to finish to be able to make a proper review, but i'm invested in it , it's not as bad as Roanoke, not as good imho of Red Tide which i really liked , but i think we should give them a chance until the season's end.

essa temporada começou meio confusa, lenta e pouco empolgante, nem parece que é AHS.

Season 11 should be the last, because all the writers are interested in doing now is preaching to the viewers about topics like homophobia and Covid-19 hysteria (for which the AIDS epidemic of the 1980s is used as a metaphor. The first few seasons were so much fun, and totally non-political.

early I was delighted ... so it was necessary to spoil everything?

The cinematography is excellent, the soundtrack is evocative, the central metaphor is apt, and the want to do something new is commendable. Yet somehow it doesn't quite add up. As always it feels way too long. And the shift from horror to crime drama with a splash of horror is IMHO unsatisfying. The ending was well done, but it felt we had to wade through a lot to get there.

This is season is really disappointing. It’s not scary at all, it’s barely a horror and more of a murder mystery.

No spoilers. AHS is usually hit or miss for me. Only watched episode 1 of the new season. Wasn’t really feeling it this season. The setting and era seem kind of overdone and boring. Horror is a broad genre and there are plenty of things to explore, really wish they’d gone with something fresh and original.

Boring, the story doesnt advance or move, more about a true crime than what AHS has used to be, paranormal and stuff like that.

I don't understand why they made this show slowly become a cliche-overdosed gay manifesto. There were so many ways to tell this story... they chose the absolute worst. I know this is a super trendy topic in the west. I have nothing against gay people. I practically don't care about them. But the scenes with unnecessary detail were just too much for me. I know the woke propagandists would like my penis to rise. But, unfortunately, all it did was raise my stomach.(I watched it with my girlfriend and she cursed twice as much as I did) Horror scenes,I know this is a super trendy topic in the west. For me the biggest horror was the homo scenes, someone really tried hard with those. I really had to close my eyes from them or rewind the scenes. Another show totally screwed up. -10 Expand

It is not a traditional AHS season that we are all used too. It didn't keep my attention like all the other seasons have.

“American Horror Story” has hardly been known for its restraint, which made the relative lack of bloody excess in these episodes notable, with less emphasis on the horror than the serial-killer aspect.

AHS: NYC has all the Murphy-esque signatures, and more: It's sexy, it's salacious, and it's subversive—not least because of the era and the community in which it's set. Like most seasons of this show, NYC starts strong, though it's difficult at this point to say exactly what's going on.
