Anyone eager to find out the fate of Sterling Archer should find more than enough distraction, as Reed and his team have crafted another fascinating experiment. What, exactly, this dream conveys remains a mystery, but it’s one we’re eager to solve.
There’s still plenty of humor, always bending toward the absurd, and Archer’s time travel has not stripped him of his signature phrases, attitude or fondness for bourbon and wordplay.

This season was good. I really liked the noir theme and as always crazy stuff that happens from one episode to another. You shouldn't expect drastic changes, just time period and some background for characters is other. I enjoyed the change, music and tone of this season.

SEASON 8
The series has always moved between clever parody and outright silliness, but this year Archer seems to be paying more attention to the plot along with the jokes.
Once it settles in and allows itself to get weird after the premiere gets the setup out of the way, Archer: Dreamland becomes the hilarious ride it should’ve been from the start.
This season largely succeeds due to its attention to details. The animation is great as always, the voice acting skilled, and the guest stars are magnificent.
It may not be delivering a hyper-speed barrage of jokes, but Archer: Dreamland is an inventive fever dream containing pleasures all its own.
There’s no expansion or even mutation of the noir style beyond an increase in humor and a moderate amount of self-awareness, neither of which is strong enough to override how plodding and unadventurous this all feels.
Viciously boring,a husk of it's former self. The characters seem to have the same personality with a twist that just doesn't fit. After the first two episodes, I find myself wanting to try and give it another look. Personally would rather watch the old episodes.
