It just got everything right. It took the character's seriously, but it never felt like it was trying to be too real thanks to some stylish and incredible animation. That combination alone makes it perfect, and it's something no film has ever been able to achieve, but the strengths of this series just keep coming. The acting is fantastic, especially Kevin Conroy as Batman and Mark Hamill as The Joker, both of whom I still think are the definite actors for the characters and thank god they still do them occasionally. The idea of episodic stories also works incredibly well since it allows the writers not only to develop character's even deeper but it gives them a chance to include as many wonderful villains as possible without feeling overcrowded like a film would, and never seeming to gratuitous like a long running film series would. To put it simply, this show is perfection in every way, and it's the true example of a comic book fan's dreams come true, not some over-serious, over-pretentious piece of crap from Chris Nolan. I've experience as a child and an adult, and it's an absolute joy from both perspectives, it's simply a series that isn't matched. Expand

An extremely well animated, zany, and fun cartoon is ruined by the incessant and obnoxious glorification of billionaires.
