Blade Runner Black Lotus amounts to a worthy addition to the Blade Runner series that’s as much of an entertaining individual story on its own as it is a prequel further embellishing the groundwork for the world glimpsed in Blade Runner 2049.
In its first two episodes, Blade Runner: Black Lotus is already showing tons of promise, which will hopefully make up for its less-than-stellar character designs.
Blade Runner Black Lotus is not perfect, the atmosphere is way too dark, you can rarely see something well but I still give a 10 becuase the plot is amazing, characthers are likable and they feel like real persons, the protagonist is a bad ass and I love that, animation looks super fluid the cgi is decent and the original song I Can Feel Now sounds perfect for the series
The main issue with Blade Runner: Black Lotus is that there isn’t really a compelling hook here aside from the Blade Runner bit in the title. It’s a competently assembled tie-in to the larger mythology, but, at least in these early episodes, it’s not clear if there’s much to it beyond that.
Having seen three of the 13 episodes, this "Blade Runner" feels like a missed opportunity. And to paraphrase a certain cynical cop from the original, it's too bad if the show doesn't live, but then again, who does?
I quite enjoyed this show and it neatly fits into the Blade Runner universe. For once, the male characters in the show aren't completely neutered or idiotic.
6 episodes in, and this is better than bad. The Japanese with English subtitles is an interesting schtick, the animation is clunky but beautiful. Not the best thing I've ever seen but I keep tuning in.
The animation style looks outdated and strange, and the story seems a little derivative. Nevertheless, I want to see how the Blade Runner universe keeps expanding. And for that, I'll be watching until the end.
