Barely tolerable, but better than most other current half hour sitcoms.

Predictable in the worst ways, the situation comedy suffers from formulaic plot lines and superficial character development. The redeeming quality of this show is that it doesn’t take itself too seriously. Thankfully the showtime without commercials is so short, one does not have to endure the whining of the loser

Thankfully the showtime without commercials is so short, one does not have to endure the whining of the loser kids or the milk-toast landlord/boyfriend for too long at a sitting. This show is definitely not to be binge watched. It would lower the viewer's IQ to the level of dirt if consumed in large quantities.

A tolerable diversion, but viewer beware.

Once she is indefinitely ensconced in the comfy AirBnB-esque guest house run by quasi-love interest Danny (Patrick Brammall, “No Activity”) and the other characters, including Austin Crute as Jackie’s roommate and Emma Caymares as Freddie’s girlfriend, have entered their mutual orbits, things relax and improve.

It's not the worst of the genre, but that's light-years away from calling it good.

Reduces The Closer's formidable Kyra Sedgwick to a clingy and neurotic noodge. [18-31 Jan 2021, p.10]
