While Divas does get points for being somewhat progressive, it lacks nuance, and it fails to explain why the women, who are painted in overly broad strokes, dislike each other to the point of sabotage, other than simply coveting more screen time.

Daytime Divas has its funny moments as it recounts the petty behaviors of daytime chat show stars but too often in its first two episodes the show moves in all the expected directions and feels like a lesser Lifetime entry.

I´m loving this show! absolutely fun and women power!!!
Strong female protagonists with well developed arcs. Talk about so many subjects without tabus.

The very premise is already good, a successful journalist after years of experience in interviews focus on subjets related to "female universe" (which can basicaly be anything). Everything fits, the main charactes compete a lot but also show friendship and support. It is about real people (rich real people... hahahaha but well)

I absolutely love this show I was a little worried being that it was on VH1 and sometimes the casting is hit or miss but honestly the castingI absolutely love this show I was a little worried being that it was on VH1 and sometimes the casting is hit or miss but honestly the casting and production is as close to perfection as you can get. I was a bit weary on the first episode because it was so fast paced it was a little difficult to keep up but I had to remember that this is a representation of Daytime TV and which is fast paced and then it became more intriguing because it put me in this kind of scripted reality TV mindset and I wasn't so overwhelmed after that. Episode 2 made it even better we're getting background info to keep up with the present yet there's still a lot of mystery behind Maxine played by Vanessa Williams who is phenomenal so happy to see that flawless woman back on my screen and it touches on the other characters as well. It's also extremely funny and it touches on important and personal issues that we face everyday with our family, friends and coworkers and is relatable regardless of your background I hope it continues to do well and gets picked up for another season. Not only is the writing grand but the actresses all hold their own and bring something unique to the table while it's clear that Vanessa Williams is the star of the show the burden of carrying the show doesn't fall solely on her shoulders all of these ladies do a great job of moving the show along and I am just as interested in the story lines of their characters as I am Vanessa's. Well done VH1, I'm thoroughly surprised that not only did you recognize a gem but that you also properly executed take notes TNTClaws this is everything that you tried to be but failed miserably! Congratulations Vanessa Williams, Tichina Arnold, Chloe Bridges, Camille Guaty and Fiona Gubelmann on the success of the show you're truly talented actresses and a true representation of a diverse cast, this show is comical yet suspenseful I can't wait to see more!
