"You can see where it's going, and assuming Abrams doesn't let it get lost in its conspiracy, it should be fun to ride along." ... Read full review

"Although episodes are self-contained, each has a clue that points to the overall involvement of a shadowy, giant corporation, Massive Dynamics. Combine these elements with solid special effects and confident direction and you get some heavy-duty counterprogramming to ABC's "Dancing With the Stars."" ... Read full review

"if you're the type of person who needs every little thing, or indeed any little thing, to make sense in a pilot, then you should probably watch Fringe in solitude, preferably with the door closed, so the rest of us can enjoy it for what it is--an uneven but promising jumble of horror, thriller and comedy that is not afraid to reference SpongeBob and "Altered States" in practically the same scene." ... However, thatFringe: Season 1 is an absolutely fine first season, it has great acting, interesting characters and an overall gripping story. However, that being said, a lot of the episodes are very repetitive. Sure, the "fringe event" is always different and shocking, but the structure of the episode is always the same. Obviously this isn't in every episode, as the story centric episodes are mostly fantastic, but there are a lot of episodes like this. Once the story begins to pick up towards the end of the season however it gets really exciting. Finally, I just want to mention how excellent of a performance Jared Harris put in this season- i was on the edge of my seat whenever he was on screen. Expand

Fringe is well written and nicely produced but it feels as empty and plot driven as the X-Files without Mulder. I got bored and quit watching. Expand

WTH!!!! this show should be taken off TV forever and burned before the future generations realize how stupid we are. Expand
