The highly pleasurable Ghosted does nothing new. But what it does it does well.
The script is loose, chatty and casual, but it’s the chemistry between Scott and Robinson that seals the deal on the comedy.

Changing it from a buddy cop sci-fi comedy to a knock off of The Office turned out to be a huge mistake. There is now a major lack of humour, and a major lack of any other interesting story elements, science fiction, or action. It feels like Fox decided to abduct the series, probe it, and lobotomize it, cut off its limbs, drop it in the middle of the ocean, and tell it to swim back to shore or get cancelled.

Like other Fox comedies, it’s quirky and brash, and decidedly not for young viewers, but it does have an underlying sweetness.
Actually, Ghosted isn't all that bad, even if satirizing The X-Files feels a little bit wet-noodley at this point.
Scott and Robinson are great comic actors and you can already see the start of their chemistry. They're both playing parts that are well within their comfort zones and the '80s genre craziness around them should fit their sensibilities. Eventually. I don't know if Ghosted wants to be more sci-fi/comedy or horror/comedy, but the non-comedy genre registers very weakly so far.
It occurs to me that Ghosted hasn’t had a successful test of its equipment. Blame retooling and a packed-to-bursting script for a pilot that’s startlingly low on laughs, but the moments of zippy comic friction between Scott and Robinson are indications that there’s no sense in worrying about it now.
The jokes are flat (or absent), and the chemistry between the two men is regrettably nonexistent. Needs more “Scooby-Doo” and less “X-Files,” perhaps.
There is nothing particularly wrong with this show, there just isn't anything particularly right with it either. I'll probably watch one or two more episodes but unless it improves that'll be it for me.
Edit - I made it about three minutes into the second episode, the comedy just doesn't seem to be working. Not for me I'm afraid but it may well find an audience.

Most awful show. Not really a plot, they try too much to be funny which ends up falling flat. I sure hope this will be canceled soon. Really no action.. if it is is like for around 2 minutes. But the rest is them trying to be funny.. Which they might get 1-2 laughs per show. Please fox do us all a favor and cancel this soon.
