Description: GOOD MORNING, MIAMI was a sitcom from the creators of NBC's hit series WILL AND GRACE. The show focused on the executive producer of the lowest-rated morning show in the country and how it affected his personal and professional life. The premise was as follows: Jake decides to accept the risky job when he first sets eyes on the show's beautiful, down-to-earth hairdresser, Dylan, who wows him like nobody before ... and presents a romantic challenge like nobody before. Meanwhile, the carnival of clowns at the station includes pompous host Gavin, Jake's wise-cracking assistant, Penny, and highly insecure station manager Frank. After a while, Jake's ambition changed as he and Penny had a brief relationship. Early in the first season the cast was delightfully rounded out with the talents of Tessie Santiago as Lucia (Gavin's co-host) and Brooke Dillman who played the station's weather-nun, Sister Brenda. Sadly, they were written out of the script by the producers who were still searching for the "center" of their program. During the second season, Jake and Dylan began their relationship, almost even deciding on a relocation to New York together. Victoria Hill, new station boss, took over the show to get higher ratings and Gavin struggled to warm up to her. A new weather girl, Joni, was introduced. NBC put the show on hiatus after the December 18th, 2003 episode and announced that it would return during the summer to burn off the nine unaired episodes. That never happened.
