Harry & Meghan, more than a piece of entertainment — and it is, as a whole, very entertaining — is an act of self-preservation for the couple, of committing their own story to public record, knowing full well that the palace will not (or cannot) respond. Is it vengeful? A little, but given the strife Harry has been through, it's impossible not to sympathise with his want to speak his own truth.
It’s cheesy, it’s biased and there are no real surprises. But as a highly watchable piece of television? Haz and Meg have got it.

I didn't have any expectations but to my surprise, found the documentary well made. The director is covering a number of themes - race, the press, misinformation and where those intersect with privileged families - that are hard to analyze in depth in just six episodes. But all this is lost to the press surrounding the documentary series. Which is a shame, because if pro-Royal folks lowered their defenses, they would find it brings up very necessary and valid points that society at large are talking about.
What I would love to see is a documentary with the women in the Royal family, speaking honestly about their experiences.

It’s a few things all at once: an enraging tale of racism, a fascinating look into a profoundly rarefied way of life, and a sometimes too self-celebratory vanity project that, for the most part, reiterates what we already know. ... The [battle between conformity and individuality] has been told many times before — from the days of King Edward’s abdication in order to marry a divorcee, to the split between Charles and Diana — but it’s one that nonetheless resonates.
Just watch the last two. ... When Harry and Meghan aren’t preening and whingeing and documenting their private pain in staged, arty black-and-white stills photography they give a persuasive account of how they felt attacked and bullied by sections of the media and certain palace aides.
It’s a diary entry. Diary entries can be helpful when they provide untold insights into their subjects, but “Harry & Meghan” is merely a long, redundant recap of two very public lives. And absent any challenging questions from outside the couple’s tidy little love bubble, it’s a dull one at that.
An almost unendurable three additional hours of grudge-rehashing gives very little further insight into why the pair remain so furious at the Royal Family.
A viewer really has to be on board the royal soap-opera bus not to be bored out of one’s mind by “Harry & Meghan,” not that anyone on it rides a bus.
I managed to get through the first 7-10 minutes of the first episode - apart from 'Why?', I wanted to know what the couple was paid for the unnecessarily protracted tell-nothing tale of Poor Us. In the few minutes I watched, I was struck by the self-absorbed Ms. Markle and her handling of 'our' story. Harry's mom, the People's Princess is now in thrall of the TV Princess, a suitable match, I guess. Netflix has garnered huge viewership, I have no doubt, but it speaks cynically of them to dedicate so much in aid of so little.

This series is eye opening, but not for the reasons Harry and Megan would like, it’s a telling tale of narcissism, delusion, naivety and privilege. The tales of woe from doe eyed Harry, amount to nothing more than a mild case of sibling rivalry, a rivalry common to anyone the world over who has a brother or sister. It just shout’s jealousy from every orifice. The couple lack an enormous amount of self and global awareness, moaning that their FREE house was not grand enough, in the midst of a worldwide economic meltdown that is seeing many people choosing between heating and eating, disgusting. Add to this the clearly disturbing behaviour of Megan desperately trying to mimic the dead mother of her husband, interspersed with TikTok style dances and false reassurances that “we are just like you” and this farcical “documentary” should be shelved without hesitation. If I were Netflix I would cut my loses and not bother with this self indulging self pitying drivel.

Ok. Harry,go home. Meghan,find a new home.Many(most) of us are ashamed that you're an American.People have lost their spouse,child or sibling and didn't carry on like you two are! Has dignity really been removed from your DNA ? Two bigger crybabies have never walked the earth! " My brother shouted at me.". Are you kidding?? My brother punched **** I punched him back and we got over it in two minutes. And Meghans' apparent dementia revealing itself in her inability to remember anything correctly is so sad. As sad as the leash she's got that prince on. We're tired of hearing from you both. Just...shut up and go away. Really. Documentary my ass.More like Royal Reality show. When will Snookie show up?
