Great look into the lives and backstory of the couple.

Such an obvious troll-farm attack in the reviews below. Several of them have the exact same odd phrasing. C'mon - get a life!

If you're interested in the story, a great watch imo.

You can see below that the scummy trolls won't ever stop - they seem really "hard done."

Firstly there was no chance this show would receive fair honest reviews from the public as it's topic and necessity is due to the vitriol the couple amassed so those looking for whether this is a worthwhile show should take that with a huge grain of salt. As most reviews here are informed by bias towards the institution harry and megan left and jilted royalists with a penchant for racismFirstly there was no chance this show would receive fair honest reviews from the public as it's topic and necessity is due to the vitriol the couple amassed so those looking for whether this is a worthwhile show should take that with a huge grain of salt. With that said this Netflix special is a much needed excavation of the truth behind the headlines. It's an exploration of how they fell in love, the short period in which that love was still private and the reaction to it by the public. Going into depth about the dangers of the press who in the past participated in Princess Diana's death and how they had continued with the same line of harassment with them. Its still sparse in terms of naming names but frank in sharing an inside perspective on what being a British royal really means. It can be a bit bloated and meander but boasting tonnes of intimate footage of the pair, their baby and their lives makes most of the fat worthwhile. I think its a compelling necessary watch that shows when an institution built on a tradition that existed on the strength of its ability to oppress and destroy anything labeled other is confronted with issues it perpetuate but continously deny.

Although the episodes so far look like they could use some trimming, the content - especially from Harry has been compelling. I knew little about Meghan going in but she seems likable and straight forward. Her mother is charming but seems to be holding back. The niece showing up was a surprise.
Everything seems to circle round to Diana and the way she was hounded, harassed and made

Everything seems to circle round to Diana and the way she was hounded, harassed and made miserable by the tabloids. Harry seems to be intent on not letting his family suffer in a like manner. They haven't said (so far) who made the remarks about Archie's skin color Obviously, the trashy tabloids that Harry (rightfully) castigates, have done quite a number on this couple and this is their way of putting the truth out.

So far I am loving this series. Too many will review bomb this for petty reasons. It's a sweet love story, but I am really impressed with the history of racism in the Commonwealth. I look forward to the rest of the series. It is sad to me that this is what they have to do to combat racist, jealous trolls but here we are.

This show exposes the racism and hypocrisy of the Palace and its cast of bullies, especially Cruella Camilla and Kate and William. They feed dirt to the tabloid press on Harry and Meghan and the people who consume the tabloid press eat it up. The Royals are racists and are jealous of Meghan and decided to destroy her. Harry is sincere and believable and is protecting himself and his familyThis show exposes the racism and hypocrisy of the Palace and its cast of bullies, especially Cruella Camilla and Kate and William. They are popular in the US and would be more so in the UK without the influence of Rupert Murdock's murderous tabloid press. The monarchy is a joke. Expand

There’s little new juicy drama and few shocking reveals. ... What the series does offer, instead, are some underdeveloped attempts at historical racial analysis. ... But the sociohistorical analysis, judged on its own merits, feels lacking.

It’s a diary entry. Diary entries can be helpful when they provide untold insights into their subjects, but “Harry & Meghan” is merely a long, redundant recap of two very public lives. And absent any challenging questions from outside the couple’s tidy little love bubble, it’s a dull one at that.

It is unsurprising that the portrait ends up a flattering one, sympathetic to their trials and scrupulously respectful of their perspectives. What it does not turn out to be is essential.
