Description: Hosted by Bil Dwyer, I've Got A Secret is the game show that allows its guests to come clean! Three contestants per show, often one a celebrity of sorts, try to stump the panel. Four comically-inclined panelists must guess the player's secret by using yes or no questions. Each panelist gets 40 seconds, though comments and jokes tend to use up more time than questions. If the panel cannot guess their secret in the process of asking the questions, the guest wins $1000, and dinner for two. But if the panel succeeds... well, let's just say the guests have some hilarious, embarrasing and sometimes controversial secrets. Bil keeps the pace brisk, while leaving plenty of room for laughs. What the producers have done here is to bring back one of the most popular game shows of all time, with a new twist. The panel are all gay But it's not designed as a gay show. Sometimes the flamboyant openness of the panelists is obvious, and entendres and references are abundant, but the game play is about the contestants, and the secrets are often funny or unusual talents that are demonstrated. Some perform stunts while the panel is blindfolded, others bring examples of their skills, or perform after their turn is over. Programming note: 40 episodes were taped for GSN in 2006, and when the final one aired in June of that year, I've Got A Secret was in the midst of a mobile, countrywide contestant search, and had lined up guests for a second season. The show was cancelled rather abruply, making it less and less likely that a second set of shows will ever be produced.
