iZombie remains one of the most sharply written, well-acted, beautifully shot and emotionally resonant shows on all of television.

No one talks like this in real life, but the best writers can make the unbelievable entertaining with enough flourishes and head-spinning zingers, and in that sense Thomas is sort of like Aaron Sorkin for tweens. The only way for that writing to work is with a cast that can pull it off, and iZombie is showing that it has that in spades in season 2.
The show probably doesn’t need to resort to voice-overs as often as it does, but it’s generally pretty smart, witty and well acted, and not afraid to turn dark on occasion.
The whole gang finally knows everything about Liv, brains, and the undead as a whole, and man oh man is iZombie soooo much better as a result. ... There’s still arguably too much going on, though, even if the pieces are more unified.
A lot of the strong moments on the show resonated because of how much they reminded me of stronger moments on stronger shows.
Its constant narration and not-very-suspenseful murder of the week, iZombie feels like just another way to do a youth-oriented copshow, even if it’s garnished with flourishes like comicbook captions.
I stumbled upon this show a long time ago, I loved the idea of a Zombie investigating murders, and I watched this show pretty much all the way threw, but what really did not settle well with me is the evolution of the characters and the ending of the show, which really does not do the rest of the show justice (No pun intended).
Looking back at the show it was somewhat low budget, I mean it's CW **** I liked the practicals going on in it.
Overall enjoyable until a stupid plot is pushed in and the ending just ruins all expectations (In a bad way).
Maybe DC and WB should look back at this and try a Badass Horror cop show or movie where the main character is a zombie. Could be good, but most of all it would be something fresh(again with the puns)in the zombie genre.

Entertaining show, however it's too often too contrived. It's also quite silly, which would not be a problem if it wasnt for the fact that it tries to be serious at times. But in many cases it simply doesnt work because of aforementioned silliness. One glaring obvious problem is *secret villain name* that for some reason has still not been killed off. I swear this villain has the thickest plot armor I have ever seen in a tv-show. And one of the characters that I think we are supposed to actually like, is so god damn stupid it hurts. Dont worry, you'll know exactly what I mean if you watch the show.
There are other glaring plot issues and ridiculously unbelievable premises that simply makes you want to shake your head. I dont know, writers must think their viewers are idiots to fall for every obvious plot device they throw at us. And maybe we are idiots for watching this. I was in a lucky position to not pay for watching and I thank the gods I did not waste my money here.
Still if you have nothing better to do, and all your favourite shows are on hiatus, give iZombie a go, at least you can still be entertained. Just dont expect too much...
