Ridiculously fun new drama. ... The scuzzy noir pleasures are invigorating. Guzmán is a desperate delight. Weaver looks like a maternal White Walker, and Kingsley is Sexy Beast-ing as one very dire wolf.

Little here feels new, and it’s not a skillful enough pastiche to demand you find Epix on your dial. ... Kingsley’s Pastor Brown is so obviously containing sociopathic multitudes, thanks to a performance with little shading over its tough, aggressive venom, that the story lacks suspense.

It is one of the most original dramas streaming. So I couldn't wait to see Perpetual Grace. What a disappointment. It was like someone else was trying to channel Patriot. It's not funny, or interesting. It's what could have gone wrong with Patriot, if Patriot had gone wrong, which it didn't. Full Review »
