Description: Bravo shines the spotlight on the real lives of parents and their would-be child stars in the new original weekly series "Showbiz Moms & Dads." This six-part, one-hour series features five extraordinary families from around the country determined to find fame and fortune for their children—no matter what the cost. "Showbiz Moms & Dads" follows each family's day-to-day struggle over the course of several months as the kids audition for television shows and commercials, rehearse music routines, compete in beauty pageants and struggle to land roles in feature films. As they make their way along the unpredictable road to fame, we'll witness the extreme measures some parents will take to make their children into stars. Whether it's an aggressive stage mom pushing her child forward, or it's a reluctant, uncertain mother whose child is the driving force, "Showbiz Moms" explores the true lives of these determined families—and reveals stories both heartwarming and shocking. "Showbiz Moms & Dads" features the following families: THE NUTTERS Duncan Nutter relocated his wife and seven children from their rural home in Vermont to a tiny two-bedroom apartment in New York so the family could pursue acting careers in the big city. But not everyone made the move willingly, and tensions in the Nutter home are high. With acting gigs being few and far-between, Duncan is forced to take a low-wage job as a theater usher to support the family. Living on top of each other in cramped quarters, tempers reach a boiling point and some family-members openly rebel, determined to leave acting behind and return to their old life in the country. THE MOSELEY-STEPHENS Hollywood agent Kimberly is a single mom sacrificing her own dreams for her daughter. As an insider in the business, she puts all of her energy into her daughter's career, often at the expense of her own. Whether spending days on sets, driving to auditions, or going to rehearsals, Kimberly's determined to make her daughter Jordan a star. At age 8, the young actress is well on her way to success, having landed roles in two feature films and on Disney Channel's "That's So Raven." While mom Kimberly is strict, she has a close relationship with her daughter, who truly loves the spotlight and is on her way to success. THE TYES Child beauty pageants are an obsession for the Tye family. Debbie takes her four year-old daughter Emily from city to city throughout Florida on weekends to participate in these competitive and high-glam events - many of which end in tears. When not at a pageant, Debbie and Emily spend their week rehearsing with coaches, buying $500 dresses, styling hair and getting fake tans. But while the losses are difficult for young Emily, mom Debbie takes the failures even harder—leading some to wonder who's really competing in these pageants—mother or daughter. THE KLINGENSMITHS "Showbiz Moms & Dads" follows this motivated Florida mom as she takes her son Shane to auditions, choreographs a dance routine for him, and attempts to land him an agent. Debbie is convinced that her son Shane should be the next Backstreet Boy - and she refuses to take no for an answer. When Shane's voice begins to change, Debbie is persistent and quickly turns the focus of her son's career to modeling and acting. THE BARRONS Between working 60-hour weeks, orchestrating her 13 year-old daughter's acting career and desperately trying to make her new marriage work, L.A. showbiz mom Tiffany is portrait of a life in chaos. Desperately trying to hold it all together, this overstretched and overwhelmed mom scrambles from audition to audition while her unappreciative daughter Jordan barks commands at her from the backseat. When the tears aren't flowing, the mouths are yelling in this family. But what will happen when mom decides she's had enough? "Showbiz Moms" is produced by World of Wonder for Bravo. The executive producers are Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato and David Perler. Todd Radnitz is the supervising producer. Frances Berwick, Amy Introcaso-Davis and Shari Levine are executive producers for Bravo.
