None of these storylines are duds, and the ways in which they all interact with one another to varying degrees remains one of the show’s greatest accomplishments.
In a broad sense the show lives up to its name, but season 2 proves it can be as intricate, and intimate, as it can be expansive, and in those lovely details of its well-drawn characters embattled with deliciously complex moral choices, The Expanse soars.

The Expanse is honestly one of the greatest TV shows I have ever seen anat actually be my favourite of all time. The story is fantastic and a great adaptation of the outstanding book series. The casting and effects are amazing and it’s such a shame it’s finished after only 6 seasons. I feel like more people should know about this amazing Sci-Fo show as it doesn’t get the recognition it deserves.

The Expanse isn’t perfect television, but entering Season 3 it is confident in the story it’s telling and, more importantly, the kind of stories it wants to tell.
Though you may note the myriad references in its many-chambered plot, it's just a house to live in finally--well-constructed, artfully furnished, with good feng shui.
There’s some goofy dialogue that holds it back, but I like that it doesn’t hold your hand in terms of its narrative or themes. I’m curious to see where it goes.
The Expanse cuts viewers no slack. It plunges so quickly into its world that you may think, as I did, that you accidentally failed to watch the first episode.... Colorful characters, banter and some zero-gravity sex are more selling points.
This could have been more appealing with a stylized visual approach or a novel tone but instead it's sci-fi-by-numbers. [Nov-Dec 2015, p.78]
With The Expanse we have here my 10 / 10
Yes, I'll say it right up front, this series is a masterpiece, even if the last season can't quite keep up with the previous ones, but that doesn't detract from the overall experience. I would have liked so much for the story to continue. Meanwhile, I have all seasons of The Expanse already 3 times completely through and it will not remain ****, my 10/10, check out the series, this is in my eyes the best sci-fi currently available.

I really loved this show when it started. I have not read the novels, but seasons one through three were a lot of fun. Seasons four and especially five were a big “meh.” Season six is not looking promising but who knows it’s still early.
They need more air time with Holden and Amos. Naomi’s storyline is played out and Marco is a cartoon villain. Why are we spending half an episode on her son? Nonsense.
Amos was the most interesting character on the show and he just kind of stopped. It’s going to be a big let down if they don’t properly finish his arc.

Chronic terrible pacing makes it hard to feel invested in the story or the characters. Dominique Tipper, Wes Chatham, and Cas Anvar deliver stand out performances in a series where the bad casting decisions spoil the good ones.
