There is an immense amount of care to this story, which shines in its nuanced tone—it’s not as plainly silly as its absurdity guarantees.
Superbly entertaining and unexpected docuseries.

As they say, "sometimes truth is stranger than fiction", I was totally not expecting to be hooked on this series, it is compulsive viewing, the documentary is extremely well filmed and directed and has many unexpected twists and turns. Just when you think the story is bizarre enough, it gets even more bizarre. If you have a NetFlix subscription this is must-watch TV.

The Netflix documentary is so horrifically addicting you’ll be like a cat at feeding time. Never mind some of the seven-part series’ editing or focus. The production pulls you in because the characters are so unabashedly brazen. They don’t just talk about their hatred. They openly demonstrate it, helping you understand a layer of society you never knew existed.
The outlandish world presented by "Tiger King" is funny, gross, frustrating, contemplative, and ultimately sympathetic. This is a story of animals, yes, but it's also a story of what makes us human.
At its most profound—and engrossing—Tiger King is a portrait of a world that’s entirely alien, and yet also reflective, and diagnostic, of this country as a whole. It’s funny, and creepy, and frustrating, and, in the longview, pretty sad. Which feels just about exactly right at this particular juncture in our national experiment.
A compelling series in fits and starts that doesn't amount to much more than a trip through an extremely strange world filled with extremely strange people.
Those who found themselves entranced by the spectacle of Tiger King’s original release will find even more unbelievable stories and visuals to gawk at here. ... Haphazard reporting and feverish pacing makes it difficult to distinguish the details that might be true from those that are almost certainly false. But the mere fact that this series spends most of its time in that swampy gray area is a big problem on its own.
What a compelling and fantastic series. Each episode is fascinating and well told. Highly recommended to anyone.

I only made it through the first episode, but this show is so hard to watch due to the obvious animal abuse. Aside from that, it's definitely filmed in a way to be both informative and entertaining.

This show is just a bunch of crap made on a false pretense to help illuminate the plight of roadside zoo animals and photo babies. Instead all this is is a bunch of lies that will hurt the cats the filmmakers claimed to want to help.
This is exploitation and no one who likes big cats should avoid this trash show
