It’s a relief, then, to see the show in Season 2 stop to take its breath to really check in on what’s happening elsewhere. Cowboy (Steven Williams), the latest addition to the collection of ranch hands, helps bring some additional understanding of the structure and day-to-day functioning of life on Yellowstone Ranch.

Quality show with plenty to offer, not as fast paced as some may like it but for those who are happy to get to know and understand the characters you really start to appreciate the unfolding of the story line over time. Second season starts off slow but kicks into gear pretty hard mid way.

What a powerful second season! Creator Taylor Sheridan (from Sons of Anarchy, writer of Wind River, writer/director of Hell or High Water) is pitch perfect with this show - I absolutely love it. It's pulpy in the best way, it's got phenomenal actors, top to bottom, and it's set in some of the most beautiful country on earth. Sure, Kevin Costner was born to play this role, but more importantly, Kelly Reilly owns ever scene she's in. She's off-the-charts amazing in this show. Highly recommended.

Four or Five episodes in, Season 2 is still intriguing, but we're getting some "ordinary" elements - stuff that I didn't think would be possible with this show. We need more of the daughter, more of the Indian Gaming stuff, and less of the bucking bronco rodeo stuff.
